Why we collect your information (Collection Notice) - Scan&go App

‘Woolworths Scan&go Application’ (referred to as Scan&go App) is a function of the Woolworths online app that allows you to use self-scanning and checkout functionality on the Woolworths App.

  • understand your preferences, interests and shopping behaviours

  • improve and personalise the goods, services and experiences we offer
  • investigate and respond to your enquiries and complaints
  • conduct investigations in cases of fraud or data security risks or to improve our business generally, including by monitoring or recording our interactions with you for training purposes
  • Monitor the effectiveness or accuracy of our technology
  • comply with our legal obligations
  • If we do not collect this information, we may not be able to provide you with the Scan&go app services.

    Sharing your personal information

    To deliver the Scan&go service, we work alongside trusted third parties including service providers or financial services organisations or specialised service providers who assist us in our day-to-day business operations such as fraud detection (when we process your payments) analytics, card authentication, payments and technology, or as required by law. We may need to share your personal information with these organisations to provide you with access to Scan&go.
